That core is encased in a shell of toasted amaranth, one of the oldest cultivated grains, adding a light crunch and ancient, nutty texture. The amaranth shell is then wrapped in dairy-free dark chocolate, and the surface is finished with organic chopped almonds that break through the chocolate with each bite. Organic maple syrup adds a clean sweetness from within, and a touch of sea salt sharpens the transition from dark chocolate to warm almond.
